THE FORMULA

What's in it & why the doses matter

Every dose in Overdrive sits at or above what the research actually used. Most tubs can't say that, because real doses cost real money. Tap an ingredient to see what it does, then check it against any label you like.

10,000MG L-CitrullineThe pump engine
Overdrive
Typical tub
6–8g used in studies6–8g in most pump formulas

Citrulline does the same job here as in the pre-workout: more nitric oxide, wider blood vessels, more blood in the muscle. Pump runs 10g because with no caffeine in the formula, blood flow does all the work. Most stim-free pump products stop at 6–8g.

4,000MG GlycerSizeWater where you want it
Overdrive
Typical tub
2–4g glycerol powder in studies2g or less where included

Glycerol pulls water into the muscle, which is the fullness you can feel and see. Research on glycerol powders sits around 2–4g. It's also why the directions say plenty of water, because it needs something to pull from.

1,500MG Malic AcidSupport act

Malic acid sits in the energy cycle your muscles run during long sets, and it pulls double duty rounding out the flavour. It's not the star of the label and we're not going to pretend it is.

1,500MG NitrosigineThe studied dose, exactly
Overdrive
Typical tub
1,500mg in the Nitrosigine studiesoften half-dosed for the logo

Nitrosigine is a patented arginine silicate, and the research on it used 1,500mg. Plenty of brands run half that just to get the logo on the tub. Overdrive carries the full studied dose.

1,500MG Sodium ChlorideThe forgotten pump ingredient
Overdrive
Typical tub
500mg or less where included

Sodium gets stripped out of most formulas because salt scares people. In a pump product it's doing real work. It holds fluid where you want it and drives the pump alongside the glycerol. Train fasted or sweat a lot and you'll notice the difference.

1,000MG RedNiteBeetroot, concentrated
Overdrive
Typical tub
500–1,000mg in studies500mg where included

Standardised beetroot extract, the nitrate route to nitric oxide. That gives you a second pathway working on top of the citrulline. 1,000mg is the top end of what the RedNite research used.

1,000MG L-TyrosineFocus without stimulants

The focus ingredient that works without caffeine. Tyrosine feeds dopamine and adrenaline production, which is what keeps your head in a session when there's no stim to lean on. Same full gram as the pre-workout.

Why it costs what it costs

Same rule as the pre-workout: proper doses, every one printed on the label. Ten grams of citrulline is why this isn't a £19.99 product. The caffeine is the only thing we left out.
